Online Life Coaching

For parents whose teen is capable, intelligent, and kind — but stuck, overwhelmed, or disengaged from school, life, or direction.

If this sounds like your teen, you’re not alone

Many of the parents I work with come to me saying things like:

  • “My teen used to care — now they don’t seem motivated at all.”
  • “They’re smart, but nothing gets done unless we’re constantly pushing.”
  • “Every conversation turns into tension, shutdown, or avoidance.”
  • “We’ve tried therapy, tutoring, consequences — nothing seems to stick.”
  • “I don’t know if this is anxiety, ADHD, burnout, or something else.”

If you’re here, you’re probably not looking for more advice.

You’re looking for someone who understands why capable teens get stuck, and how to help them move forward without shame, pressure, or power struggles.

Stuck teens aren’t lazy: they’re protecting themselves

Most stuck teens aren’t failing because they don’t care. They’re stuck because their nervous system has learned that effort feels unsafe.

Over time, many teens develop patterns like:

  • Avoiding tasks to escape pressure or fear of failure
  • Shutting down emotionally to cope with overwhelm
  • Losing motivation because nothing feels internally chosen anymore
  • Relying on parents to manage what they don’t trust themselves to handle

This is not a discipline problem.

It’s a developmental and emotional bottleneck, and it requires a different kind of support.

Why online coaching works especially well for stuck teens

Online coaching gives teens something they often don’t have at home or school:

  • A neutral adult who isn’t grading, diagnosing, or correcting
  • A space where they don’t have to defend themselves
  • Support that builds internal authority, not compliance
  • Conversations that slow things down instead of escalating pressure

Because sessions happen over Zoom:

  • Teens feel more in control
  • Resistance is lower
  • Engagement is often higher than in-person settings

This work is not about “fixing” your teen.

It’s about helping them reconnect with their own agency, confidence, and direction.

Who this coaching is for

This coaching is a good fit if your teen:
  • Is unmotivated, avoidant, or overwhelmed
  • Has anxiety, ADHD traits, or burnout (diagnosed or not)
  • Is capable but underperforming
  • Struggles with follow-through, confidence, or direction
  • Is open — or at least not fully resistant — to having support
This coaching is not a good fit if:
  • You’re looking for crisis intervention
  • You want someone to “make” your teen change
  • Your teen is unwilling to participate at all

How online coaching for stuck teens works

Coaching begins with understanding why your teen is stuck, not pushing them to perform.

Together, we focus on:

  • Reducing internal pressure and shutdown patterns
  • Building self-trust and emotional regulation
  • Clarifying goals that actually feel meaningful to your teen
  • Creating structure with them, not for them
  • Strengthening follow-through without constant parent involvement

Working with families across the U.S.

I work with teens and parents nationwide through online coaching. Because this work is relational and development-focused — not location-dependent — families across the U.S. find Zoom-based coaching both effective and accessible.

For parents: this doesn’t replace you: it supports you

Many parents worry:

  • “Are we handing things off?”
  • “Does this mean we failed?”
  • “Will my teen just rely on someone else?”

In practice, the opposite happens.

As teens develop internal authority and confidence, parent–teen dynamics often soften:

  • Less nagging
  • Less escalation
  • More trust
  • More responsibility taken from the inside out

Start with a parent consultation

If your teen is stuck and you’re not sure what would help anymore, the next step is a free parent consultation.

We’ll talk through:

  • What’s happening with your teen
  • What’s been tried
  • Whether this approach is a good fit

There’s no pressure, just clarity.
